Join us for a Hammered Dulcimer Concert by Dan Duggan

Award winning musician Dan Duggan will present a Hammered Dulcimer Concert featuring traditional and original music for this wonderful  instrument.

Dan Duggan, nationally touring performer and teacher is rapidly being acknowledged as one of the finest dulcimer players and composers in the country. As recipient of the prestigious National Hammered Dulcimer Championship, Dan’s accomplishment, though based on technical merit, is even more considerable as he is the first winner to have performed all original compositions.

Dan will discuss the history of the dulcimer both worldwide and here in New York state, especially in the Adirondacks and northern NY. and will also display historical instruments made in NY state in the eighteen hundreds.

This program is presented by TAUNY with funds from the Creative Rebuild NY grant.

“Music and Puppets with Jumpin’ Jamie” 

Join “Kindie Rock” musician Jumpin’ Jamie and a cast of puppet friends for singing, dancing, and an ocean adventure”!  

Jumpin’ Jamie has performed thousands of shows for audiences as varied as birthday parties for 12 people to stadiums for 12,000.  Jumpin’ Jamie’s debut album “Kookie” was released in 2018 and features appearances from members of They Might Be Giants, the late Peter Tork, and over 40 other guests.  It features the song “Ghost In My House” which has been ranked by Yahoo, TimeOut NY, Good House Keeping, and several other outlets as a “top Halloween song”.  2020’s follow up “Never Mind the Blocks, Here’s Jumpin’ Jamie” features the single “I Don’t Wanna Dance (Just Like Everyone)” which has become a family dance party hit thanks to it’s inclusion on several official Spotify playlists. 

Jamie was recently spotted on Season 51 of Sesame Street on HBO and PBS and will be releasing the new album “Mosaic” on August 12th with the single “Let it Out” now available. 

Program is for ages 2-8.

This is a free, online event hosted by Alicia Randolph-Lucchesi of Pandorable Wellness.

Registration is required. Send an email to lgl-director@sals.edu to receive the zoom link for the event.

A general itinerary for the event is as follows:

*Patrons will receive the ingredient list (via email) prior to class to make the desserts during the event.

*Patrons can opt to only watch and not participate if they wish. She encourages participants to make it during the event- so they have her full support.

*She will introduce herself, credentials, class objective, and the format.

*Each recipe is pre-recorded. She will pop the recipe on the screen, so they can gather the ingredients for the recipe.

* She will show the pre-recorded video, put the recipe back on the screen, and watch as they make it. She will discuss any questions participants will have about the recipe.

*There’s a Q&A at the end, in case there are any other general holistic wellness/cooking questions.
