eAudiobooks Are Now Available!
This month, The LongLake Library begins a new service that allows people to download audiobooks from home with a click of their computer mouse. Users can listen to digital audiobooks through their computer or transfer them to a windows media-compatible MP3 player.
This service is free to anyone with a Southern Adirondack library card and a speedy internet connection.
“It makes it convenient, because you don’t have to come to the library,” Library Director Emily Farr, explains. “As long as you have a library card, you can have the library come to you. Library cards are free. To get one, come to the library and bring ID showing your current address.”
Over 1600 titles for adults and children, including popular fiction, classics, nonfiction, business, biography, self-help are available 24-hours a day right through the library’s website: http://netlibrary.sals.edu/
In addition, people will have access to 100 Pimsleur language instruction programs, including instruction for people learning English.
Major funding for this service is provided by the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors.
Additional funds are provided by Crandall Public Library and the Southern Adirondack Library System.
